Important Update New China Visa Application Process in India 2025

New Online China Visa Application Process (Effective from 22 December 2025)

Starting 22 December 2025, all applicants must follow the upgraded online visa filing system.
Here’s what changes:

1. Mandatory Online Visa Form (New Portal)

• All applicants must complete the new upgraded online visa application form.

• The old form will no longer be accepted.

2. Upload All Documents Online

• Applicants must upload scanned copies of all required documents, including:

  • Passport copy

  • Photograph

  • Invitation letter (if any)

  • Travel itinerary

  • Financial documents (as applicable)

3. Online Payment for VFS Charges

• Visa Center service charges must be paid online before submission.

4. Final Application Review

• Applicants must perform a final review of all details.

• Once confirmed, the application must be submitted online.

5. Embassy Review Before Physical Submission

After the online submission:

• The Embassy will conduct a preliminary review.

• Online status will update to “Online Review Completed.”

• Applicants will receive a confirmation email with submission instructions.

Only after receiving this confirmation can applicants submit:

• Passport

• Supporting originals

• Required documents
  to the respective China Visa Application Center (Delhi / Mumbai / Kolkata).

Important Dates & Transition Timeline

To ensure a smooth transition, the Embassy has issued the following schedule:

• Old visa form accepted until: 16 December 2025

New Online Portal Launch

• New portal goes live on: 17 December 2025

Application Blackout Period (No Submissions)

• 17 to 19 December 2025
  No applications will be accepted during this system transition.

Full Implementation of New System

• From 22 December 2025 onwards
  Only applications submitted through the upgraded online system will be accepted.
